Productive Communication Between the Sexes

Have you noticed how different the opposite sex is? (and I don’t mean physically different).
You’ll find women talk, talk, talk and men tend to say as little as possible (that’s probably because they can’t get a word in if they are talking to a woman).
Although I am a woman, I must say that being in a group of women talking incessantly, drives me crazy.
I attended a Businesswomen’s Event this year where there were at least 100 women in attendance. The constant noise was deafening! There were a few guys there and I don’t know how they could stand it.
That brings me to this week’s blogpost…
When I ask women in my workshops what is the biggest challenge they face when communicating with men they say they ‘don’t listen’. I ask the guys what their biggest challenge is and they say that women don’t get to the point.
Next time ladies get to the point and don’t waffle. Tell him exactly what it is you want and guys let them talk…and if you don’t understand what the lady is saying, ask her!,
