Having the Right Coach Makes All the Difference

By Lorraine | April 12, 2008

Attended my son’s first rugby league match of the season yesterday.

What a difference having the right coach made.

Last year the coach lacked people skills and basically barked commands at the boys…no wonder they didn’t listen and many left the team.

This year is the complete opposite.  Trent is playing at a new club and the coach is encouraging, fair and talks to these boys with respect.  The contrast is like chalk and cheese.

The coach has attracted top players who have been state representatives who have joined.  I wonder why?

How often in business do you see poor leaders?  The business owner or manager lacks what it takes to lead and coach his or her people.  Then they complain their team doesn’t perform and often leave.

Having the right person leading makes all the difference.

Oh and by the way, if you’d like to know more about how you can become a much more effective leader, send me an email at admin@office-organiser.com.au as I have some very valuable tools which will help you.
