Understanding Men and Productivity
By Lorraine | March 23, 2008
Having some time off over Easter, I decided to buy a book entitled “He’ll Be OK’…growing gorgeous boys into good men.
With a 15 year old son, I felt it I needed to understand him more and this book seemed to have the solutions I was looking for.
What I did pick up was the fact that boys don’t like to plan…they’re ‘in the moment’. They tend to wait to the last minute to get their homework done or ask you to take them somewhere with no prior warning.
I know with my son that I constantly have to remind (’nag’ ) him to do things, otherwise he forgets. When I suggest he write out a list to remind him he won’t do it.
Seems to me that is exactly how they are when they grow up.Â
The men I coach are very ‘allergic to planning’ and that’s why their businesses have become so overwhelming. They need to learn new habits to change their situation and planning is one very important component.
If you’re experiencing challenges in any area of your life, reading a book on that specific area will put you on the fast-track to finding a solution.
