How Flexible Are You?

By Lorraine | March 29, 2006

In a recent coaching session one of my clients realised that he had spent his whole life being ‘flexible’. Flexible to him meant being unstructured. It meant whatever happened, happened.
Of course this was why he was so stressed out. No plan on where he was going or what he was doing. His work days became longer and longer and there was no division between his work life and personal life. In fact he didn’t have a personal life and found relationships outside of work difficult to maintain.
Through our coaching process he recognised what he was doing and now is making changes so he can take responsiblity and bring order and structure into his life.
Avoid being too flexible or you will find life will take control of you.
